Design Process Project (Week1)

Is the design process discussed this morning different / similar to your previous experience, and if so, how?

I was familiar with the design process because of my BA Degree. I didn’t do any project in graphic design during my studies so I didn’t face the importance of the investigation of the market as well as the audience identity. I always had in mind the target audience but I didn’t do a specific research on the aspirations, the key lifestyle habits as well as the values.

What have you learnt from this session – to apply to your MA research project?

From this session I have learnt to collect all the information that I will need on a project and be able to describe the values, the important messages, the personality and tone of voice. I want to apply on my MA research the methods that I used in this project and work on the perceptions, the visual language and the contextual influences

What have you learnt from this session – to improve your idea development for this brief?

From this session I have learnt to search the meaning of the brief and find exactly what I had to do. In a very a short time we had to research, find what’s on the market and think how to present the ideas and concept that we have. Also it was very interesting that we got an anonymous feedback from all of the students as well as the tutors. The comments that they left me, helped me to understand how the viewer understood the logo that I had designed to see the different perceptions. I try to develop my ideas having in mind the important messages, the meaning of the project and be able to define the meaning behind that logo.
